Abstract Expressionist Artist

Freeform, spontaneous and organic.

Seeking to create visually interesting artwork, exploring gestural movements, energetic brushstrokes and intricate texture to capture energy and emotion.

Working primarily with acrylic, pastes, and ink, most pieces are unplanned compositions that can start on a frenzied or chaotic path but ultimately leads to a balanced and harmonious composition.

Painting is a performative act. Allowing the mediums to take me on a journey of texture, color and light. A feeling, emotion, or more importantly, a certain piece of music supports the journey. Creating abstract art that encourages individual interpretation of each piece.

I use acrylic, ink, pencil, fiber paste, thread and other mediums on paper, canvas and wood panels.

Born and raised in Alabama, I am currently located in the Detroit, Michigan area.
